(Terwilliger family photograph) Matt Terwilliger, son of John and Chris Terwilliger and grandson of former East Bluff cottagers Harriett and Bill Terwilliger, will play professional basketball for the Paderborn Baskets in Germany starting September 20.

Mr. Terwilliger was graduated from Ohio State University in June, where he was on a four-year basketball scholarship. He and classmate Jamar Butler hold the school record for most games won during a college career.

Mr. Terwilliger is expected to play power forward and center for the Paderborn Baskets.

The Terwilliger family owned a store on the Island from the late 1960s to the late 1980s. They retired full time to Polk County, North Carolina, in 2002.
