Dunnigan Book Puts Focus on Mackinac Before Photography Brian Dunnigan's latest book covering Mackinac prior to photographs, which looks at development here through early maps, paintings, and sketches, is now off the press and being sold by Wayne State University Press. Titled "A Picturesque Situation; Mackinac Before Photography 1615- 1860," 408-page, the 9-inch by 11-inch book includes 330 illustrations. Mr. Dunnigan is a resident of Mackinac Island and Grass Lake and is the interim director and curator of maps, research, and publications at William L. Clements Library in Ann Arbor. The book is $75 and will be available locally and through the publisher. |
