Legion, Volunteers To Continue Cleaning Headstones August 31

For the last time this summer, local war veterans and volunteers will finish cleaning headstones at Mackinac Island's two city cemeteries, Ste. Anne's Cemetery and the Protestant cemetery, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 31.

To volunteer, contact Paul Wandrie at 847-6104. Those who would like to volunteer should bring along soft bristled brushes and pails.

The group began the project at the beginning of the summer and has cleaned headstones every last Sunday of each month.
