Private Horses, Signs Not a Problem
To the Editor:

My sister and I have been staying on the Island each fall for the past 18 years. We have never felt private riding horses were more of a congestion problem on Main Street any more than the buggies and carriages. The larger carriages would seem to be the bigger issue.

Also, as far as the committee's consideration of removing the menu signs that are posted or sitting in front of (any) restaurant, please don't remove them. They add to the quaintness and historical feel of the "step back in time" feeling the Island has always had and tries to replicate.

I can reassure the committee that visitors to the Island DON'T care. We love it.

There must be more crucial issues to discuss, right?
