Islamic Democracy Program Planned

Zuhdi Jasser, the head of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, will speak on Mackinac Island Friday, August 29, at the Trinity Church rectory on Fort Street at 8:15 p.m.

The American Islamic Forum for Democracy is devoted to public education about the compatibility of Islam with the founding principles of the United States.

He is hosted by Kehilat Hatzav Hagadol, the Jewish congregation on Mackinac Island.

The discussion is open to the public at no charge.
