Friday, October 3, my dear friends, Alice and Buck Sharrow, invited me on a wonderful carriage ride up and through the wooded areas of Mackinac, where the trees were radiant in colors of deep red, yellow, and orange. What a picturesque sight for all of the visitors to enjoy. Alice and Buck have shown me many kindnesses.
