Legion Exhibit To Open July 4

Chapman, St. Onge, Dankowski American Legion Post 299 will open an exhibit room in the Stuart House Museum Saturday, July 4. The room will display photographs and memorabilia related to the legion and Mackinac Island's military history.

Photographs will be displayed on the walls and visitors will be provided with a binder explaining the story behind them.

"It's a project that will be in the works for quite some time," said Paul Wandrie, the post commander.

The Stuart House is open daily through October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
