The weekend cleared and the weather was very nice. There were many weddings, with brides riding by in the wedding carriages with their veils flying in the breeze. Many families were enjoying vacations before the opening of school, riding bicycles or horses, and flying kites on Windermere Point. It is still summertime on Mackinac.
