Mackinac Island Community Revels in Winter Fun

Intense play on the adult broomball court, with yellow and blue teams facing off, has players sweeping up a flurry of snow while fighting for control of the bright red ball Saturday, February 5. The blue team won the game, but all players said the challenging match was great fun. Games, contests, and family activities drew the community to Great Turtle Park during the two-day, 35th annual Winter Festival on Mackinac Island. Pictured are (from left) Chuck Pereny of Port Ste. Lucie, Florida, Craig Bunker, Steve Thyer of Ann Arbor, Josh Carley, and Julie Rilenge.
