Joys of Spring Reach Mackinac Island

Lola’s paws barely touch the pavement as she happily races down Main Street on Mackinac Island. With the temperature reaching more than 40 degrees, the snow melted quickly Wednesday, March 16. The young German shorthair pointer is happy for the open road and exercise. “I have to make sure she calms down when we first get going because she could take me for quite a ride if I don’t keep control of her,” said owner Urvana Morse. “She helps me haul the kids back and forth to school. She enjoys it.” Three-year-old Owen (not visible) rides in the Burley cart behind the bicycle. Lola’s paws barely touch the pavement as she happily races down Main Street on Mackinac Island.
