David Honeycutt

David Lee Honeycutt, 47, of St. Ignace, passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday, August 28, 2011.

He was born September 6, 1963, in Garden City. He lived in Taylor until age 14, when he moved to Moran with his parents. He was graduated from LaSalle High School.

Mr. Honeycutt worked for several years as a dealer at Kewadin Shores Casino. He spent many years driving carriage tours on Mackinac Island, most recently for Arrowhead tours. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved hunting, fishing, and his family.

Mr. Honeycutt is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Bulger) Honeycutt; two sons, Robert and Alan Honeycutt, and a grandson, Brandon. Also surviving are his mother, Lela Honeycutt of St. Ignace; his brothers and sisters and their families, Virgil and Phyliss Honeycutt of Hawthorne, Florida, Ralph and Carol Honeycutt of Seattle, Washington, Judy and Mark Broden of Lincoln Park, Deborah and Dennis Foster of St. Ignace, and Diana Honeycutt of St. Ignace.

Mr. Honeycutt was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Honeycutt, and his brother, Gerald Honeycutt.
