Autumn Waves Crash Against Island’s Stony Shore
Waves crash against the shores of Mackinac Island and Round Island in the distance. Rough weather made traveling to Mackinac Island difficult Monday, September 24. Trips from Mackinaw City were cancelled by all three ferry companies owing to high winds reaching 54 miles per hour, and some ferries traveling to St. Ignace would circle around the north side of the Island for shelter from the winds.
