The Vieaus Celebrate 50 Years

Henry and Betty Vieau of Mackinaw City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, December 28, 2012. They were married in Mackinaw City December 28, 1962, by Judge Barnet.

Matron of honor was Karen Worth, the bride’s sister, and best man was Howard Vieau, the groom’s brother.

They have three sons and their families, Billy, Ron, and Greg and Anne Vieau, all of Mackinaw City, and one daughter and her family, Laurie and Ed Fetke of Benton Harbor; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Vieau retired from the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau and Mr. Vieau retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

They enjoy spending time with their extended family, playing music, and going for long car rides to watch deer.

An open house for the couple was held at Audie’s Restaurant December 28. Music was provided by their sons, Ron and Greg, Greg Yoder, Charlie Heilman, and Frank Smith of Mackinaw City, accompanied by Bob Cook of Alabama, the bride’s brother.
