Lois Jean Norris Tower, 76, a familiar face for many years at the concierge desk at Grand Hotel, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021.
She was born November 1, 1944, in Newark, Ohio, to Grace and Howard Norris and was the baby of the family of brothers and adored by all.
Mrs. Tower was graduated from Newark High School and Nationwide Beauty Academy. She was a licensed beautician and licensed real estate agent. She retired from State Farm Regional Office after 26 years and pursued a second career on Mackinac Island as concierge at Grand Hotel, a position she held for 15 years.
Mrs. Tower is survived by her children, Lisa and Keith; a daughter in-law, Lorena; grandsons and their families Tyler and Esther, Hunter and Briana, and Michael and Brianna; six great-grandchildren, and lifelong friends Donna Laughery and Bonnie Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Howard Jr., Donald, Paul, and Bobby, and a stillborn sister, Mildred.
She was a woman of faith and determination and a strong supporter of the military and police, her family said.

A funeral was held Sunday, November 7, at 4 p.m. at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta- Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service in Heath, Ohio. A visitation was held prior and a reception followed.
