The Mackinac Island Airport closure has been changed to begin Tuesday, September 14, rather than the previously announced date of Monday, September 13. Community Welcome To Attend School Picnic Tues.
For Mackinac Island students the 2010-11 school year will begin Tuesday, September 7, with a half day of classes, followed by a community picnic and performances by local entertainers. The picnic will begin at noon in the school’s playground area and the public is invited to attend. The traditional picnic welcomes students as they begin the new school year.
